Random
The current King of Amber, as selected by the Unicorn at the end of
Corwin's Chronicles. Something of a regengade, Random's primary
interests are women, wine, and song. A prodigious flirt before his
marriage to Vialle, he was equally determined to become a first-class
jazz drummer. He was never particularly interested in the problems of
the succession. staying away from the family's in-fighting until Corwin
himself returned to the fray. After that, Random sided with Corwin and
proved a significant element in the defeat of Brand. He is extremely
happy in his marriage (a rarity for an Amberite), and as a king he is
cautions but firm.
