Oberon
Not much is known about the father of the current royal family. What is
known is told by his children, with all the distortions a child's
knowledge of his father is liable to have. Oberon was clearly a firm,
demanding father, but just as clearly he had an enormous capactiy for
teaching his children what he wanted them to learn. He was a superb
tactician, both militarily and politically, and with the help of Dworkin
he perfected several strategies as well. He loved life almost as much as
he loved women, and he loved women almost as much as he loved Amber. In
many ways, in fact, Oberon was Amber, and he died heroically to save it.
