Merlin
The son of Corwin of Amber and Dara of Chaos, Merlin was raised in the
Courst of Chaos. Shortly before his father's disappearance, he listened
to Corwin tell his own story, and since then Merlin has wanted to know
more about his father's world. He has spent several years wandering in
Shadow, settling for a time on Shadow Earth. Recently he has returned
more often to Amber. He is intellectually brilliant and afraid of
practically nothing. Still learning of the results of walking both the
Patten of Amber and the Logrus of Chaos, he used his own powers hesitantly,
since nonbody in either court can tell him exactly what he might
achieve. Like his father he is a superb storyteller, but he lacks
Corwin's sence of personal epic. Perhaps, with age, this will come as well.
