Luke
Nearly a psychological chameleon, Luke possesses the ability to shift
roles amlost instantly. A California salesman by profession, he swings
into his Amber persona effortlessly whenever the occasion demands. Like
Merlin, whom he perhaps most resembles, he ratains his Earth personality
when he travels among Shadow, and this has caused him a needless amount
of difficulty. He likes Merlin, and at times sides with him, but just as
often he finds himself on the opposite pole. This has created a
consistent, respected rivalry between the two. It has also created a
distinct amount of fear among the Amberites and the Chaosians: if Luke
and Merlin ever team up the will be a very dangerous pair.
