Deirdre
As beautiful as her name, Deirdre was perhaps the family's greatest loss
during the war against Brand. Continually caught in the midst of the
most bitter in-fighting, her desire to stabilize the volatile situation
kept her from backing away from any of her brothers' battles. Her death
was the result of her willingness to help. When she died, something of
the royals' greatness died with her. To the poeple of Amber she was
almost a goddess, strong and kind and lovely beyond worlds.
