Dara
Merlin's mother and Corwin's mate, Dara is stubborn, willful, and
ingenious. Even with their enormous differences she remains fond of
Corwin, and although she refuses to admit it, she is suspected to be
searching for him on her own. The feeling in the Courts of Chaos is that
if anyone finds him it will be her. Tied to rationality much less than
Amberites, and yet understanding Corwin's inborn dependence on reason,
she is able to spring free from traditional thought and figure things out
in a wholly unique manner. Given Corwin's state of mind at the end of
his war with Brand of Chaos, this unique mindset seems necessary if she
is to find him. What she wants from him remains to be determined.
