Brand
Brand was the villain of the piece in the Chronicles of Corwin. He tried
to re-draw the Pattern of Amber, thereby giving himself the power almost
of a creator. Corwin thwarted him, recasting the Pattern himself. As
far as is known, Brand died with the defeat. In life he was moody and
sullen, and he faces his tasks with a stubborn determination. Once set
on a course of action he was loath to change it, and the courses he chose
were rarely less than globally significant. Powerful and brooding, he
was among the most romantic of the entire Amberite clan.
